Mark Gingell MA(App), PG Dip. N, RMN, RGN, NP is an endorsed Nurse Practitioner specialising in Mental Health. As a Nurse Practitioner, Mark is qualified to diagnose, treat, prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as required.

Mark initially qualified in Mental Health Nursing in the U.K. before moving to New Zealand in the 1980’s. He completed his education at Victoria University, Wellington and Massey University, Palmerston North. Mark held several senior positions in both acute psychiatry and in the primary health sector in New Zealand.

He moved to Mackay in 2011 as the first Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the region. He is interested in general adult psychiatry and with a special interest in younger adult presentations. He brings over 40 years of experience in a calm, patient focussed approach that emphasises listening to the needs of people.
